The core function of this app is to allow the users to plan trips and adventures as a group from inception to booking. Follow through the steps of my creative process to designing this product.
Two personas were created based off the ideal 2 opposing types of potential users that would be on the app. One who would be navigating the app, conducting all the planning, and the other who likes to sit back and watch the others make the plans for them.
A service such as this does not fully exist, only in particles, so it was up to me to find the services that do the partial labor of the app and see what it was that they did correctly, and what could use improvements.
After collecting the data on the potential competitors, I turned back to my personas to get a sense of how the service would function, and how it would flow. Through this process I started to ideate what would really set this service apart from everything else on the market.
Now that the paper wireframes were created, I was able to transfer the best of the ideas into something more accessible and clean, and really getting a chance to play with how the app would move.
After a few rounds of user testing, I was able to diagram out the data from the testers to find what parts of the service were weak and needed improving, and which worked and needed bolstering.
The final product underwent one last user test, using an entirely new pool of testers to ensure the apps usability and accessibility was the best it could possibly be.
